Man United strike target said to be favouring Real Madrid switch

Manchester United looks to have been dealt a blow in their chase for Juventus star Fernando Llorente after it is believed that he favours a move to Real Madrid, Express reports.

The 30-year-old is being linked with a switch to Old Trafford following speculation that manager Louis van Gaal was set to announce the signing of a new striker.

With Karim Benzema being monitored by United as well as Arsenal, Real were said to be considering a move for the Juventus star as a potential replacement for the Frenchman.

However, there have been suggestion that if Llorente was given a choice, he would prefer to join the La Liga giants over the Red Devils.

The Spain international featured 45 times for his side this past term, scoring nine goals and providing four assists.

Apart from him, Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller, Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette, and even Paris Saint-Germain’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic have been linked with the club in recent weeks.
