Manchester United striker James Wilson is still being linked with an exit to a Championship club following the arrival of Anthony Martial, according to reports from Manchester Evening News.
The 19-year-old is keen to remain and fight for his place at Old Trafford, despite manager Louis van Gaal looking to send him out on loan.
Although the transfer window has closed, Wilson will still be able to join a club in the Championship, but will be unable to make a switch to any other team in the Premier League.
The England Under-21 star featured in only 13 league games last term and was only able to net one goal.
It is believed that if the striker is sent out, Van Gaal will include an option to call him back should there be an injury to another one of his strikers.
The United boss has very limited options in his front lines following the summer departures of Robin van Persie, Radamel Falcao, and most recently Javier Hernandez.
