Manchester United are said to have offered Ashley Young a new three-year deal to extend his stay at Old Trafford, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The 30-year-old was also given the option of a further one year stay, a factor that could see him end his Premier League career at the club.
Young was worried that he won’t be given an extension following earlier deals for both Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.
It is believed that Young has been offered a deal in the same region as his current contract, with wages around the £120,000-a-week range.
Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, as well as Liverpool were all linked with a move for the winger during the current window, but with an offer being tabled, he is likely to continue his stay.
He was on the verge of being sold upon the arrival of Louis van Gaal last summer, but after producing a string of top displays throughout the previous season, he eventually became a key member of the squad.
