Manchester United are looking to buy Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski to replace Radamel Falcao this summer, according to reports from the Express.
Falcao has had a difficult time settling in at Old Trafford, being unable to find the net on a regular basis.
This means that the Red Devil are unlikely to activate Falcao’s £43million transfer clause inserted into his one year loan deal, which could open the door for the Colombian to make a move to Real Madrid.
If Falcao was to depart, then United manager Louis van Gaal will probably be in the market to buy a world-class striker to partner the likes of Robin van Persie or Wayne Rooney in the Red Devils attack.
And it looks like United are keeping a very close eye on Lewandowksi, who seems to be struggling to adapt his playing style to fit that of manager Pep Guardiola’s.
The 26-year-old only moved to the Bundesliga champions from Borussia Dortmund last summer, but could be set for a £30milion bid from United at the end of the current season.
