Manchester United target Nicolas Gaitan has made Valencia another possible destination should his move from Benfica fail, according to A Bola, as reported by the Daily Star.
The 27-year-old is said to have already agreed the terms of a move to Old Trafford, but with no official statements from either clubs, his future is still in doubt.
He was heavily linked to be brought in as a replacement for Angel Di Maria who ended his short United career and has now joined Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
However, with manager Louis van Gaal turning his attentions to Barcelona star Pedro, Gaitan has begun planning a move to Valencia should his transfer to Manchester break down.
The Red Devils are even said to be ready to trigger the Spanish international’s £22million release clause in the coming days as their chase for the winger heats up.
Gaitan featured for his side a total of 37 times in all competitions last term, scoring four goals and was able to provide a further 16 assists.
