Manchester United target Gareth Bale is once again linked with a Real Madrid exit despite his agent earlier revealing that he is set to stay, Daily Star reports.
The 25-year-old record signing has endured a very turbulent campaign with the European champions this season after being on the receiving end of quite a bit of abuse from the club’s supporters.
There was even speculation stating that the relationship between Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo has broken down, causing problems in the squad’s attacking lineup.
John Richardson, a journalist with the Sunday Express, revealed that he knew someone close to the winger and stated that he is very unhappy at the Bernabeu.
“I think it’s almost a done deal to be honest,” he said,
“I know somebody very close to Gareth Bale and the public are not hearing the real thing.
“He’s very unhappy there and he’s unhappy with his treatment.”
United manager Louis van Gaal is very keen on the addition of the Wales international into his squad, a move that can surely prepare his side for the upcoming Champions League campaign.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the player earlier this year, with Van Gaal’s side believed to have been preparing a £100million bid in attempts to acquire his services.
