The future of Porto starlet and Man United target James Rodriguez will be sorted imminently, according to talksport.
Rodriguez’ agent Silvio Sandri is seeking talks with the Portuguese club regarding the future of the Columbian International describing the position of his client as ‘complex’;
Speaking to O Jogo, Sandri stated, “There is nothing new to report. This is a matter to be discussed with Porto.”
“Within a couple of weeks I plan to go to Portugal to speak with the leaders of Porto. I cannot talk more about this as it is so complex.”
Rumours that Rodriguez is a target for Sir Alex Ferguson are extensive, especially with speculation regarding the future of current Old Trafford star Nani, who, according to reports, is failing to illicit a response from the United financiers in demanding a new £120,000-per-week contract.
Rodriguez has played for Porto since 2010, starring in 41 league games and scoring 15 goals. The tricky winger would come at a price for United, with today’s papers reporting a £40 million buy-out clause in his contract. However, at just 20-years old, the Columbian youngster could provide the best long term answer to Manchester United’s left wing position since the prime years of Ryan Giggs.
