Manchester United target Neymar is said to be on the verge of a new contract with Barcelona amid links of a summer switch to Old Trafford, according to reports from the Mirror.
The 23-year-old was linked with a shock move to the Premier League as manager Louis van Gaal looked to reinforce his attack.
However, Neymar has a clause in his contract which states that he must be given a chance to discuss a new deal during his third season with the La Liga winners.
It was even believed that the Brazil international was considering a switch to United, but nothing seemed to materialize from the speculation.
He is now said to be close to doubling his current deal which would see him get paid about £200,000-a-week after-tax.
The forward was in sensational form for his side last term, featuring 51 times in all competitions while scoring a total of 31 goals and providing a further 11 assists.
