Manchester United have identified Arjen Robben as a January transfer target according to The Mirror, with the Dutch winger reportedly falling out with Bayern Munich team-mate Robert Lewandowski.
The Old Trafford outfit have been flat in attack this season and are expected to add a new player with pace and purpose when the transfer window reopens.
The latest report suggests that Robben could well be that man, with Louis van Gaal knowing his compatriot’s calibre well from working together with him in the past.
The former Chelsea winger is said to have fallen out with Bayern main man Lewandowski, who has accused Robben as being too selfish and prefers having the likes of Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman on the Bavarian flanks.
Robben netted a brace for the Netherlands against Wales in an international friendly on Friday night and despite being 31 is still regarded as one of the best wingers in the world game.
