Manchester United could allow a loan transfer for out-of-favour star James Wilson during the January window as Wolves declare interest, Metro reports.
The 19-year-old has found it very hard to break into the first team despite the fact that manager Louis van Gaal sold two strikers in the summer.
Both Robin van Persie and Javier Hernandez were allowed to leave Old Trafford, but with the arrival of Anthony Martial from Monaco, Wilson struggled to feature for his side.
Van Gaal has opted to play either Wayne Rooney or Martial as the main striker, leaving the forward third in the pecking order.
Wolves boss Kenny Jackett revealed that he is keen to reinforce his squad with the addition of Wilson as they continue to monitor his situation ahead of a possible loan switch.
“We’ve kept an eye on it,” he said.
“But we haven’t made any fresh inquiries in terms of James.”
He was expected to be given a bigger role in the Capital One Cup, but could now be sent out on loan given that the Red Devils were recently knocked out of the competition.
