Manchester United star Ashley Young has revealed his desire to remain at the club as he continues his wait for a new contract, according to reports from the Mirror.
The 30-year-old was one of the standout performers for his side last season despite being tipped for a departure during the previous summer window.
He is currently on his final year at Old Trafford, but is still hoping that he is offered a new deal in order to continue playing for United.
Young’s future is now in doubt as he has already seen teammates Michael Carrick, Chris Smalling, and Phil Jones all been given an extension.
The England international is currently travelling with the rest of the squad for their USA Tour, a hint that manager Louis van Gaal may still see him as part of his plans for the upcoming campaign.
He featured a total of 29 times in all competitions for his side last term, scoring two goals while providing a further six assists.
