Manchester United loanee Nani is set for a return to Old Trafford at the end of the season, after revealing that the club are still keen on retaining his services, Daily Star reports.
The 28-year-old was sent back to his former side Sporting Lisbon during the summer, a move which helped clear the way for the addition of Marcos Rojo.
However, after seeing a huge increase in form ever since his departure, he is now said to be planning his return to the Premier League by admitting that United still wanted him.
“The club know my value and I know they want me to stay.
“It was me who made the choice to leave the club and it was a good decision by me because I knew if I stayed one more season at Old Trafford, it would be very hard for me.
“I just need someone to believe in me, trust me and my qualities, and give me an opportunity to show them on the pitch.”
Nani’s future was in huge doubt when Louis van Gaal took charge of the club, but his performances in Portugal may have done just enough to give him another chance of impressive the Dutch manager.
He has now featured in 20 appearances for his side so far this season, scoring seven goals, four of them coming from five Champions League appearances.
