Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has claimed that Manchester United target Pedro is the man who must decide where he wants to play next season, according to reports from Sky Sports.
Pedro has been heavily linked with a move away from the Nou Camp in recent weeks, with the Spain winger struggling for regular first team football behind the trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Luis Suarez in the attacking pecking order.
And the La Liga champions have already confirmed that they’ve received offers from several clubs, with the likes of Chelsea also keen on the 27-year-old.
However, although Enrique hopes Pedro stays, he knows that he is powerless to stop a transfer if the release clause is matched and that it is up to player whether he wants to make a switch to the English top flight.
Speaking after Barca’s 2-1 win over LA Galaxy during a pre-season friendly, Enrique said: “I’m not going to say what I said, or what he told me.
“It’s the decision of the player. When he says something, then I’ll say something.”
Pedro only made 15 starts in La Liga last season, scoring six league goals.
