Manchester City are in pole position to sign Wolfsburg star Kevin de Bruyne this summer, according to reports from the Mirror.
De Bruyne has been heavily linked with a move away from the Volkswagen Arena after a sensational season, in which the attacking midfielder has scored 15 goals and supplied an incredible 27 assists in all competitions.
His performances have alerted the likes of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, but it seems that City are closing in on a £35million swoop for the Chelsea reject.
And the Sky Blues could make room for the Belgium international by selling star midfielder Yaya Toure and out-of-favour striker Stevan Jovetic to Inter Milan.
City were well beaten by Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title, and are looking to revamp their squad to challenge once again next season.
