Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli is progressing well with his recovery from knee surgery.
The £24million summer signing from Internazionale damaged knee ligaments on his City debut in August.
Balotelli scored the winner in a 1-0 Europa League victory over Timisoara but was forced to go under the knife days later.
City boss Roberto Mancini hopes he could return for the Premier League encounter against Arsenal on October 24 and has given an upbeat assessment on the Italian striker's rehabilitation.
"It's about time Mario comes back and fast," said Mancini.
"He is recovering. All is normal. There are those who come ready a week earlier and those a week later.
"He has had his knee checked by the specialist in Pavia and again last week.
"We are just waiting for him to return now."
