Manchester City are believed to be preparing deal to sign Julian Draxler after Schalke made an enquire over a potential purchase of Matija Nastasic, Daily Star reports.
With the 21-year-old getting very limited playing time under Manuel Pellegrini, he is being tipped for an exit as the club place a £10million price tag on the defender.
The City manager is now looking to reinforce his squad’s wingers role and has set his sights on the services of the 21-year-old German attacker as he plans to use their interest in his centre-back to complete a deal.
Schalke boss Roberto Matteo is making an attempt to lower the asking price to £8million with an offer of loaning him for the rest of the season before making the move permanent in the summer.
With negotiations ongoing, Pellegrini has told the Bundesliga side that if he is to sell Nastasic, he will want first choice on signing Arsenal’s long term target Draxler.
