Manchester City are stepping up their chase for Liverpool target Isco, by preparing to sell Samir Nasri to Juventus in order to clear room for his arrival, according to reports from the Express.
The 22-year-old is now regarded as a key member for the European Champions, summed up by a very impressive performance during their 2-0 win over Elche the previous week, and is currently being eyed by Manuel Pellegrini to be paired next to Yaya Toure.
However, City are being closely monitored by the Financial Fair Play board and may be forced to sell Nasri in order to fund a move for the Madrid star, with the midfielder said to be worth £67million.
Juventus are considering a move for Nasri amid speculation that Paul Pogba is being linked with an exit, hence the need to reinforce the role.
Isco was finding regular playing time hard to come by, but an injury to first choice midfielder Luka Modric has earned him a starting position under manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was also heavily linked with a move for the Spaniard, as he is being eyed as a potential replacement for Anfield legend Steven Gerrard.
