Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is set to be rewarded for his efforts this season with a new deal at the club, according to The Sun.
The Italian manager has been the mastermind behind the Etihad Stadium club’s rise to the top of the Premier League, with the Citizens just needing to beat QPR at home on Sunday to claim their first title since 1968.
The newspaper indicated that City owner Sheik Mansour will offer Mancini a four-year deal worth £22 million, with his annual salary of £5.5 million making him the joint highest paid Premier League boss alongside Sir Alex Ferguson.
Mancini will also be given a bumper transfer kitty this summer, with Robin van Persie and Eden Hazard the tactician’s main targets.
