Manchester City star admits title is expected now

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has admitted that his team expect to win the Premier League title now, as reported by talkSPORT.

City moved top of the Premier League with a win at Everton yesterday, although Liverpool will leapfrog them with a draw or win at Crystal Palace tomorrow night.

Toure has been in sensational form recently for Manuel Pellegrini’s side and is one of the main reasons that sit top of the table on goal difference.

The Ivorian midfielder is looking to finish the season with a trophy and go on to the World Cup this summer full of confidence.

“We definitely expect for us to win [the title] now,” Toure said.

“It was important to win today to keep in the hunt for the title. Everton are a very good side, we knew that, and at the end it was very tight, very difficult. But we needed three points.

“As a player you always want to win games, you always want to be the top side.

“We’ve been working so hard this year and if we don’t win the trophy now it will be a massive disappointment for us, and for the club and the fans as well.”
