Manchester City could be without Sergio Aguero, David Silva, and Samir Nasri for their opening Premier League game on Monday due to illness, according to reports on talkSPORT.
The star trio were sent home by a doctor on Wednesday after complaining of stomach problems, and they subsequently missed the club’s season launch party ahead of their first game.
However, it has been reported that the issue is not serious, yet with the game just five days away they may not be at full fitness and would therefore not start against West Bromwich Albion on Monday.
During the event, Aguero was picked as the player of the 2014-2015 campaign, and the Argentina ace sent a video message to thank his fans and ensure them of his return.
“Sorry I can’t be there, I don’t feel well. I will be back soon,” it said.
The 27-year-old was also the Premier League’s top scorer with 26 goals, with six more coming in the Champions League to push his season tally up to 32.
