Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has played down his injury ahead of their Capital One Cup clash against Hull City this week, according to reports from the Mirror.
Aguero has insisted that he is fit for Tuesday’s quarter-final, despite the Argentina international limping off holding his ankle in their 3-1 victory over Southampton.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini has already stated that he does not believe the 27-year-old’s problem is serious after the game, but Aguero was seen limping to his car at the Etihad.
The former Atletico Madrid attacker paid visit to the club’s medical staff this past Monday, and tweeted that he is fully fit for the Citizens’ next fixture.
City have regained their place at the top of the Premier League table following their triumph over Southampton, but will have a tricky task this coming weekend when they travel to the Britannia to face Stoke City.
Aguero has played 14 games in all competitions this season, scoring seven goals.
For everyone asking, I’m fine. It’s just a harmless bump on the heel. Thanks, all of you, for the support!
