Marouane Fellaini has defended his clumsy on-field actions in the midweek fixture against Liverpool, the Daily Mail reports.
After an elbow on Dejan Lovren on Thursday night, Fellaini received a yellow card and was criticised heavily by Howard Webb and large swathes of the media.
Webb was highly critical of the Belgian’s actions in both legs against Liverpool, after appearing to leave a flailing arm on Emre Can in the first tie at Anfield too. Manchester United fans are growing increasingly frustrated with the ex-Everton man and Fellaini claimed he is ‘not dirty’ and he just looks to ‘defend himself’.
The towering Belgian appeared on Football Focus and gave an interview defending his style of play, after being involved in an increasing number of controversial incidents since his arrival from Everton a couple of years ago.
Fellaini also claimed that he doesn’t listen to the criticism from fans or the media.
