Manchester United forward to leave on loan

Manchester United forward James Wilson is set to spend the season away from Old Trafford on loan, reports the Sun.

The 20-year-old has been told by Jose Mourinho that he has no immediate future at the club, and is to be sent on loan to gain vital experience.

Wilson wasn’t included in Manchester United’s preseason squad that left for China, and has been overlooked for the senior squad with Zlatan Ibrahimovic joining, and Marcus Rashford’s incredible rise to the first team.

The youngster spent last season on loan at Brighton, where he scored 5 Championship goals from 27 appearances. He scored two goals on his Premier League debut back in 2014 against Hull City.

Wilson also featured for United in their recent preseason fixture against Wigan, coming off as one of a number of changes at half-time.

He is now in contention to start for Fulham in their first fixture of the new season, at home to recently relegated Newcastle on August 5th.
