Manchester United have held talks with Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang over a potential summer move, according to reports from the Mirror.
Aubameyang has been heavily linked with a move away from the Westfalenstadion for much of the campaign, with the Gabon international on red hot form for the BVB this term, scoring 35 goals in just 40 games.
However, Man United have pushed for talks as they make Aubameyang their number one transfer priority in the summer transfer market.
Although the Red Devils are not the dominant team they once were under Sir Alex Ferguson, the club are one of the biggest in terms of finance and global marketing.
This means while the 26-year-old isn’t for sale, United have the power to offer Dortmund an excess of £60million, which will be a tough fee to turn down.
Even amid the uncertainty surrounding Louis van Gaal as manager, the United hierarchy want Aubameyang at Old Trafford whoever is in charge next term.
