Manchester United have offered Borussia Dortmund £21million to sign star defender Mats Hummels, the Independent reports.
Hummels has been heavily linked with a move away from the Westfalenstadion in recent transfer windows, with United and Arsenal both keen on his signature.
And after BVB manager Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave the club at the end of the season, several of Dortmund’s stars are set to follow suit.
However, it seems that the Bundesliga club are unwilling to let the World Cup winner leave cheaply, and are demanding at least £32million from interested parties with Hummels’ contract expiring in 2017.
The former Bayern Munich ace revealed earlier in the campaign that he would consider a move abroad, and may finally make the switch this summer.
“I think moving abroad will be good for my professional and personal well-being,” he said previously. “Eventually, I’d like to leave the Bundesliga.
