Manchester United offered experienced Frenchman

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have been offered Lassana Diarra this summer.

That’s according to Le10sport, who claim the Marseille midfielder is keen to return to England and leave his home country.

Diarra played in 26 Ligue 1 games last season, as Marseille suffered a difficult season, finishing 13th. And it could be the final straw in the 31-year-olds decision making, as he sets his sights on a return to England.

The reports suggest Diarra’s agent is trying to push through a move to either United or Spurs, after spending 4 years in England with Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth.

Diarra has 33 international caps for France, but missed out on a chance to play at Euro 2016 with a knee injury, where France lost in the final to Portugal.

The 31-year-old won the FA Cup and League Cup with Chelsea in 2007, before once again lifting the FA Cup with Portsmouth the following season.

Diarra has also been linked with a move to Inter Milan to link up with Roberto Mancini.
