Manchester United have revealed the goalkeepers set to be targeted to replace David de Gea if he leaves to Real Madrid this summer, Express reports.
De Gea has been heavily linked with a move to the La Liga giants the past season after the Spain number one rejected several contract offers from United.
And reports have suggested that Real are confident of landing De Gea, meaning that the Red Devils will need to find an adequate replacement.
Although United already have three-time Champions League winner Victor Valdes as the 24-year-old’s back-up, club manager Louis van Gaal is already looking at four candidates in the transfer market.
Stoke City ace Asmir Begovic, Ajax’s Jasper Cillesen, Tottenham star Hugo Lloris, and Chelsea’s Petr Cech are the goalkeepers on Van Gaal’s wishlist.
Begovic is set to depart after Stoke extended young goalkeeper Jack Butland’s stay with the club, while Ajax would likely accept a big-money bid for Cillesen.
However, it is believed that the Red Devils are more keen on Lloris and Cech, but their respective clubs would love to avoid selling their shot-stoppers to a rival Premier League side.
