Manchester United are set to face stiff competition if they wish to sign Toni Kroos, the Sun reports.
Guillem Balague, a Spanish football expert, has reported that Kroos is looking to move away from Real Madrid this summer and that many clubs are interested in signing the German midfielder.
The Sun adds that Kroos has been in touch with German national team team mate, Bastian Schweinsteiger, about a potential move to Old Trafford and Manchester United are thought to be keen on adding to their midfield with Michael Carrick’s contract expiring this summer.
Kroos has seen his form fluctuate since his move to Real Madrid and the Bernabeu side have struggled to balance all their attacking talent with the gifted midfield pairing of Kroos and Modric. Naturally, Kroos will be looking to move to a club with Champions League football and finishing outside the top four will make United’s summer transfer dealings more challenging.
