Manchester United ace Angel di Maria is set to have his medical today ahead of his move to Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports from the Daily Star.
Di Maria has been heavily linked with a move to the Parc des Princes this summer, despite only joining United from Real Madrid last year via a British record-breaking £59.7million deal.
The Argentina international struggled last season in his debut Premier League campaign, failing to settle into his new environment and is set to undergo a medical in the next 24 hours.
PSG and United agreed on a fee believed to be in the region of £46million to facilitate the transfer, and his soon-to-be teammates David Luiz and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are already welcoming the 27-year-old.
“He is fantastic and will be fantastic for the team,” Luiz said.
“Am I surprised it didn’t work out for him in England? No. Sometimes you cannot have luck in one place, but he is still a fantastic player.”
Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic added: “I don’t know if it is done but of course if you get a chance to play with Di Maria, it is a fantastic thing. The guy has won everything. He is a fantastic player who plays for the team.”
The former Benfica star arrived at Old Trafford and began his time in England brightly, but a series of injuries and a drop in form saw him only start 20 league games the entire season.
During that time, Di Maria scored four goals and provided 12 assists.
