Manchester United are ready to offer attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard a new contract at Old Trafford that will see the starlet double his current wages, according to The Sun.
The youth academy graduate was given a chance to play last season under Louis van Gaal and is now a solid member of the first-team squad with the Red Devils.
Lingard got a chance to start the Manchester derby earlier this season but was removed at half-time after an ineffectual showing against City.
However, it appears that Jose Mourinho rates the Englishman and will extend his terms at the Premier League side in the near future.
The report suggests that Lingard’s wages will be increased to £50,000 per week and that he is set to put pen to paper on a new four-year deal with the Old Trafford outfit.
The winger is in contention to feature in the Premier League clash with Leicester City later today.
