New Manchester United boss David Moyes has given up the chase for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas and is now preparing a bid for Bayern Munich main man Bastian Schweinsteiger, according to the Daily Mirror.
Moyes has struggled to attract new signings this summer which has frustrated United fans and Fabregas is the latest target to dismiss a move to Old Trafford.
The former Arsenal man is keen to stay at Barcelona and the Spanish club are not willing to sell their midfielder despite three sizable bids from the Premier League champions in the past month.
Moyes is now looking to bring in Schweinsteiger despite Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola claiming he is done with transfer altogether this summer.
The German international is an integral part of Bayern’s side and the Bundesliga and Champions League holders are unlikely to sell one of their key players as the German league gets underway.
Moyes is considering a bid of around £30million for the 29 year old as he becomes desperate for new faces.
