Serie A champions Juventus are looking forward to securing a two-year deal with Manchester United’s Patrice Evra after the club is said to have held talks with the left back, Daily Mail reports.
The French player was seen in Turin during the past weekend and was rumoured to be negotiating the potential move as well as being involved in some medical check ups with the Italian side.
However, potential United manager Louis van Gaal has stated his intentions of keeping Evra for next season, but the Frenchman will have limited playing time behind incoming Southampton star Luke Shaw.
The 33-year-old defender has the option to extend his deal to keep him at Old Trafford due to terms in his current contract but is likely to make a move to Italy.
The Red Devils are now facing a squad overhaul after a disappointing first season with David Moyes coming in as the replacement to club legend Sir Alex Ferguson while Louis van Gaal, who is favourite for the new managerial role, is expected to bring glory back to the red side of Manchester.
