The FA Cup final. The curtain closer to the domestic football season and this year we are treated to the uninspiring Manchester United and inconsistent Crystal Palace. What a delight.
Wembley will be packed, as per, and we will have to drag our eyes away from the substantially more glamorous cup finals from around Europe. Louis van Gaal might be on the way out of Manchester after this one, whilst Alan Pardew could make himself loved yet more at Selhurst Park. There is plenty to win for both managers, whilst an against-the-odds defeat for United may well be the final nail in Van Gaal’s coffin.
Wilfried Zaha looks set to miss out on an opportunity to humiliate his former club, will Alan Pardew sit deep and spring on the break against a United side that has a tendency to lack final third invention? Could Van Gaal prove a final point to his critics?
This is a final with so much hanging on it. These XIs could make or break a few careers…
