Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has dropped a major hint that Liverpool star Fernando Torres will be on his summer shopping list.
Torres, 26, will miss the remainder of the season following more surgery on a long-running knee problem.
However, he continues to be linked with a £60million move to the City of Manchester Stadium and Mancini has done little to dampen down the speculation.
"Fernando Torres is a fantastic striker," he said."But all the teams in Europe are interested in him.
"We must get the rest of the matches out of the way first, then we will decide about other players."
Meanwhile, Mancini has admitted that City need to secure Champions League football for next season if they are to persuade top-quality players to join them.
Mancini added:"All the top players want to play in the Champions League.
"Next year we want to be a team who wins the Premier League. To do that we need top players."
