Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez has welcomed transfer deadline day interest from Liverpool.
The Reds are believed to have enquired about the loan availability of the Germany international.
The 25-year-old former Stuttgart hitman finds himself behind Thomas Muller, Ivica Olic, Miroslav Klose in the pecking order at the Bundesliga club.
"When a club like Liverpool enquires, their interest cannot be pushed off the table," agent Uli Ferber told Kicker.
However, Bayern sporting director Christian Nerlinger does not expect Gomez to be on his way out of the Allianz Arena.
He explained:"Bayern Munich are not a superstore for other clubs to come and help themselves to players.
"No player will be leaving and they will certainly not be leaving on loan."
