Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has played down reports that the club are attempting to sign Manchester City starlet John Guidetti on loan for the remainder of the season.
Hughes’ side have scored just two goals so far this season and are yet to win a game, but Sparky has ruled out a move for the City youngster despite his impeccable goal scoring record last season.
Guidetti scored 20 goals in just 23 appearances on loan at Feyenoord last season and the clubs supporters set up an online petition for the club to sign the Swede permanently.
City ruled out the permanent move away but it seems Guidetti won’t get much game time at the Etihad this season and a move to another Premier League club could massively improve the player.
However, Hughes told talkSPORT: “It’s just speculation.
“It is not to my knowledge that we have made contact.”
