Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial has backed the club to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer and believes that the veteran Swede would make the Red Devils a much more dangerous proposition.
The Old Trafford outfit have lured Jose Mourinho to the club and are now expected to land a host of high-profile names in their search for major silverware next term.
Ibrahimovic has left Paris Saint-Germain after his contract expired and as such is currently a free agent and available without a transfer fee.
The Scandinavian attacker is being frequently linked with a switch to United, who are expected to bolster their options in the attacking third this summer.
Martial, who made such an impression in his first campaign in English football, has admitted that he would welcome Ibrahimovic to Old Trafford with open arms.
“If Zlatan comes, it would be really good,” The Telegraph report the Frenchman as saying.
“He is a great striker and he will bring us his experience.”
Both Martial and Ibrahimovic are gearing up to feature in Euro 2016 this summer, with the tournament kicking off next week.
