As we discussed yesterday, Arsenal fans are losing patience with Arsene Wenger. While there's long been an element of the Gunners support that has wanted him to leave the club, it appears we're reaching a tipping point of opinion and many more reasonable fans are finally coming round to the idea of getting rid of the legendary boss. However, supporters at the Emirates may have to wait a while yet to see Wenger leave the club after an Arsenal legend who played under the Gunners manager suggested that he'll be sticking around.Martin Keown made over 400 appearances for Arsenal winning seven major trophies with the club, six of which came under Wenger. He's now backed his former boss to sign a new deal, although says it'll be Wenger's last as he looks to transition to a new regime at the Emirates.

Speaking on BT Sport's Score programme after Arsenal's humiliating loss to Chelsea, the former defender reckons it's a matter of when, not if, Wenger's contract renewal is announced.

That would likely be a controversial move by the club, welcomed by some and not by others.

What's clear though is that results need to improve at the Emirates otherwise the groundswell of opinion wanting the Frenchman to leave the club may become too big to deny any longer.
