It is speculated that Liverpool have lost faith in the Slovakian, whilst Brendan Rodgers wants to be reunited with his former Swansea City colleague Williams.
But Skrtel’s agent Karol Csonto has played down the speculation.
“I don’t read things like this, because such news I consider speculation.” Csonto told hnonline.sk
“Martin still has a valid contract with Liverpool. In the summer, we will see what intentions Liverpool have and then act accordingly.”
Skrtel has been out of the side since Liverpool lost to arch rivals Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford on the 13th of January.
With Jamie Carragher playing well, Skrtel hasn’t had a chance.
His return to the side came against Southampton on the weekend and was seen as his last chance to prove his worth to Liverpool Football Club.
Skrtel was blamed for two of Southampton’s goals as Liverpool lost 3-1 at St.Mary’s.
With Csonto believing that Skrtel has nothing to prove, his future will be assessed at the end of the season.
