Tottenham Hotspur have convinced star goalkeeper Hugo Lloris that his future is in North London, with The Mirror claiming that the French custodian is ready to extend his contract at White Hart Lane.
Spurs had a progressive 2015-16 season under Mauricio Pochettino, with a third-placed finish guaranteeing the club the all-important participation in next term’s Champions League as a result.
Lloris is widely acknowledged as one of the best stoppers in Europe but his future with Tottenham has always been interlinked with the club’s chances of playing Champions League football.
Reports of late have suggested that Pochettino’s men wanted to tie the former Lyon goalkeeper down to a new deal, but the France captain was resisting until he was given assurances over the ambition of the club.
The latest story suggests that Lloris has been convinced with Spurs’ willingness to spend in the transfer market this summer and will continue with the club next season as they look to fight for silverware.
