Nemanja Matic has revealed that his Manchester United teammates have made it easy for him to settle into his new surroundings following a move from Chelsea.

Matic, 29, signed a three-year contract with Man United last month after Chelsea had somewhat surprisingly accepted an offer from their Premier League rival.

The Serbian international made a big impression on his Premier League debut for Man United at the weekend - starring in his new team's 4-0 win over West Ham United at Old Trafford.

Matic has claimed that he has needed just a short period to settle into life with the Red Devils due to the support of his new teammates.

Matic told MUTV:

“Thanks to the guys, they have accepted me from my first day and I feel their support. Thanks to them, I feel very comfortable and I feel like I will be here a long time.

"They have helped me, and I am happy if I give them something back, and that I helped us to win."

Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof have also arrived at Man United this summer, and the former scored twice in the victory over West Ham.

Lindelof, however, was not included in the matchday squad as head coach Jose Mourinho eases the Sweden international into life in the Premier League.
