Manchester United has been boosted by news that David De Gea is currently 80% fit and could feature in the vital clash against Arsenal this weekend, Daily Mail reports.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper suffered a dislocated finger while training with the Spanish national team and until recently was believed to not be able to take part.
It is now said that the injury has improved very swiftly as De Gea is now 80% ready for selection, news that will be a huge boost for Louis van Gaal.
The United number one is currently in great form, appearing in all of the team’s fixtures this season and given his sensational display against Everton earlier, he is now well on his way to becoming Spain’s first choice man between the sticks.
With the Red Devils struggling defensively as of late, Van Gaal will surely hope his shot-stopper can recover by they time they travel to face Arsene Wenger’s men at the Emirates.
