Manchester United may not have been able to rise above sixth spot in the Premier League but they are enjoying the longest unbeaten run out of any side in the top-five European leagues and secured a comfortable victory against St Etienne in the Europa League last night.

The defending FA Cup champions tackle struggling Championship side Blackburn and will be expected to seal their place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup but, despite their issues, Blackburn should not be taken lightly and the risk of an upset will be on Jose Mourinho's mind.

Despite that, Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson believes the Red Devils will continue their fine run in all competitions with a comfortable win. Making his predictions for the fifth-round, the former Arsenal defender said:

"I can't see this being too difficult for Manchester United. One thing Jose Mourinho always does is take the cups seriously. They are already in the EFL Cup Final and I just don't see them slipping up here. Blackburn are second bottom of the Championship and their priority has to be staying in that division this season."

Going strong in the Europa League and having a favourable draw in the FA Cup, as well as sealing their place in the League Cup final against Southampton, many will feel the Red Devils have a chance of securing a treble.
