Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa insists that he is happy in Ligue 1 and is in no hurry to leave, according to The Mirror.
The Ajaccio keeper has revealed that Liverpool had enquired about him in the past, as had teams from Germany, Italy and Spain.
It’s been a season to forget for Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina after a less than convincing season between the sticks for the current number one, and Liverpool could be set to renew their interest.
Although Ochoa is aware of the reported interest from Liverpool he has insisted that he is happy to stay at the French club.
“I only know what is said sometimes in the press.” Ochoa told Mediotiempo.
“I have heard in Mexico that there is a type of interest from Liverpool but I have to let things happen.” he explained.
Ochoa also confirmed that he enjoyed the way that his club were moving forward: “Ajaccio are getting better each day and we all feel that we are doing our work correctly in the first division.
“I feel very well, in the professional and sporting way. Physically, I am also very well.
“I am happy with my team, things are getting sorted out in the correct way and the team is advancing.”
It’s sure to be a busy transfer period for Brendan Rodgers and his side as they continue to try and close the gap on those elusive Champions League places.
