Chico Flores looks set to return when Swansea entertain Tottenham this weekend, with Garry Monk expected to make way.
Flores has not figured since early February after damaging ankle ligaments against Queens Park Rangers but after returning to training could now return at the Liberty Stadium.
Monk has slotted in well alongside Ashley Williams during the absence of Flores, but Michael Laudrup now looks sure to re-unite his preferred partnership at the back as the Swans bid to end a run of two straight defeats.
Laudrup will check on the rest of his international brigade but it is thought he does not have any fresh problems ahead of the visit of Andre Villas’Boas’ side.
Meanwhile Laudrup has warned his players that Tottenham are far from a one-man team and they have dangerous players throughout the side.
“Yes they have Bale but they have others too,” he revealed. “Jermain Defoe is a top-class striker, he has pace and individual quality and his movement is great.
“He is the type of striker I really like, he can drop deep get the ball and make things happen. They have Mousa Dembele, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Clint Dempsey as well.
“We can’t think if we close Bale down we will win the game because it’s not like that.”
