The newly promoted Premier League side have been busy in the transfer window, signing big names such as Victor Valdes and Alvaro Negredo. But it appears Aitor Karanka hasn’t finished his spending spree just yet.
The forward scored 7 Championship goals last season before being relegated, but was left out of Bolton’s League One opener against Sheffield United, although this was because of a minor hamstring injury. Bolton are strapped for cash, and would be open to selling the 21-year-old, with a £2million price tag set.
Boro are still looking to add goals this summer, despite the addition of Alvaro Negredo. The Spaniard has scored 5 goals in each of his last two seasons with Valencia. He only played one season in England, netting 9 times in the Premier League.
Boro finished their pre-season with consecutive 0-0 draws, and will be hoping to get on the scoresheet in their first game back in the Premier League, hosting Stoke City on Saturday.
