Egypt striker Mido claims Hull City are interested in pairing him with international team-mate Amr Zaki in a new-look strikeforce at the KC Stadium.

The Tigers snapped up former Wigan Athletic hit-man Zaki on loan from El Zamalek on Monday.

Mido is currently on loan at Zamalek from Middlesbrough but claims he too could be heading back to England with Phil Brown's side.

The 26-year-old former Tottenham star struggled with injury last season as the Teessiders were relegated from the Premier League. The nomadic striker ended the season on loan at Wigan Athletic.

"I'm 90 per cent certain that I will leave Zamalek before the closure of the transfer window," declared Mido.

"Hull have been talking to me for a month now and another English club, who I can not name at the moment, are also interested.

"This club, who have a great history, lie in the top half of the table and will table an official bid to sign me within two or three days."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
