Manchester United manager Youri Tielemans has personally phoned Anderlecht prodigy Youri Tielemans in an effort to persuade the starlet to move to Old Trafford, according to an ex-team-mate.
The teenage Belgian playmaker is adjudged as one of the brightest young prospects in the European game and has impressed both in his homeland and in the Champions League.
Although Tielemans has opted to stay at Anderlecht this summer, a host of leading European clubs are keeping a very close eye on him and are ready to pounce once the star is ready for a move to a bigger team.
The latest news has been confirmed by Wisla Pulawy youngster Lukasz Plonowski, with the Pole a former team-mate of Tielemans at Anderlecht.
A telephone call from Mourinho has been confirmed, showing that the Portuguese trainer is clearly thinking about recruits for the future.
“Youri called me up recently and said: Lukasz, do you know who called me? Mourinho,” Plonowski told Weszlo.
“He asked if how I’d take the possibility to move to Manchester United.”
Mourinho has already signed for big-name players this summer, which is expected to be the culmination of United’s business.
