Mourinho denies Chelsea midfielder link with Real Madrid

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has denied any possibility of Ramires leaving for Real Madrid this summer, Mirror reports.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, who used to manage the Blues, is keen on bringing Ramires to the Bernebeu, but Mourinho is adamant he will keep his man.

“Ramires is staying at Chelsea, he’s not for sale,” he said.

“I have a great relationship with important people at Real Madrid and they know that Ramires is going to stay at Chelsea.”

The Portuguese manager also insisted he is not after any of the Madrid players.

“They know I’m not interested in any Real Madrid player,” he added.

“Raphael Varane and Sami Khedira? I repeat I’m not interested in any Madrid player, full stop.”

On the other hand, he is extremely positive that Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa will sign for the Blues in the very near future.

“Costa is a player I want in my team,” Mourinho said.

“I’ve asked my club for him and I have total confidence that we’re going to achieve it and he will end up signing for Chelsea.”

The Blues have recently completed their first big summer signing, bringing over Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona.
