Jose Mourinho believes in form Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard deserves more recognition, reports the Telegraph.
Hazard continued his fine form on Saturday, with a superb hat trick to fire Chelsea to a 3-0 win over Newcastle, and top of the Premier League table.
Mourinho suggested after the game, that Hazard deserved more recognition for his recent displays, insisting he is currently the best young player in world football.
“Maybe with the hat-trick he has the chance to win one day [to be awarded] the [Barclays Premier League] player of the month,” said Mourinho. “Because he never gets that. I would like my guy to win it once, so please do something. Help me.”
“I think a team is made of 11 guys, but obviously he is special.
“I think in this moment he’s the best young player in the world.”
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew also had words of praise for the 23-year-old, who tore his side to pieces time and again during Saturday’s game.
“All the great players have little bouts of super-confidence and I think that’s where he is at the moment, that makes it very difficult,” Pardew explained.
“But they have so many other assets that you can’t really isolate him with a marking job because they’re just going to pull you apart. You just have to try and just cope with him.”
